The Aguilar Octamizer is a powerful analogue octave pedal designed specifically for bass guitar. Featuring a set of simple controls and an all analogue circuit with two discrete signal paths you know you are getting a clear transparent normal level effect as well as a powerful octave that can be dialled in to perfectly match your dry signal.
Discrete Circuits
Because the octave and dry signals are completely discrete in the pedal controls are actually separates in to Octave and Clean. On the Octave side you have a level control that's sets the volume of the effect as well as a low pass filter that gives you a lot of control over the response from smooth to edgy. The other two controls work with the dry signal allowing you to set the level and adjust the tone slightly so you don't get an overly muddy sound as soon as you punch in the lower octave.
Every bass player wants deep organic tone. The Octamizer creates a wide range of musical sounds an octave below your original note - you will be "octamized"!
The Octamizer features independent volume controls for both the Clean and Octave sounds, so dialing in the exact amount of each is a cinch. The two discrete signal paths also have their own tone controls that were specifically designed to enhance and expand their musical possibilities.
The Clean Tone control uses a Full Spectrum Tilt EQ, allowing for the boosting of treble while cutting bass or boosting of bass while cutting treble. This unique circuit allows you to create a clean sound that creates an octave doubling effect or to blend the sounds together for a great thick, snarky synth tone.
The Octamizer's Octave Filter control is a multi-pole low-pass Filter that lets you shape the octave sound from smooth and deep to edgy and aggressive.
