Dowina Guitars, Based in Bratislava, Slovakia are a family based business that support sustainablity from source. They are a small but happy and friendly team just making guitars because that's what they love to do! We we're very proud to be able to visit Dowina Guitars in late 2019 to meet the team and absorb their companies ethos of which making wood 'shine' is their absolute goal. Dowina's designs are humble and organic, with very little 'bling'. They build the guitar to the wood chosen so no two are ever the same!

The Master Series are all handmade in Slovakia by the Dowina team. They ALL feature full solid wood bodies with unique back and sides. The Master Series features construction techniques used in mastergrade violin and cello making. The Top is tuned to an exact pitch, the each brace is scuplted and also tuned to the same pitch along with the back and sides. This means that the entire body is tuned to the same note before it even gets glued together! This aids in a very pure and natural tone, not nesicarrily loudness!

The Cocobolo is our flagship guitar that we love to produce. Each guitar is unique and is up to you which wood combination you will go for. Available with a 2 or 3 part back which offers you a variety of combinations to express yourself.

This 2 piece Cocobolo is hugely rare due to low production levels and the scarcity of findthing cocobolo in the size they need to produce this 2 peice model.
