Dowina Scetis DE 12-SE (12 String Dreadnaught)

Dowina Guitars, based in Bratislava, Slovakia are a family based business that support sustainability from source. They are a small but friendly team with a passion for making hand crafted guitars. We were very proud to be able to visit the Dowina workshop in late 2019 to meet the team and absorb their company ethos, of which making wood 'shine' is their absolute goal. Dowina's designs are humble and organic, and their method of building the guitar to the wood chosen results in each instrument truly becoming a unique work of art.

The Antique Series features personally selected tops, laminate back & sides and finished by craftsmen and women in Slovakia in a wide variety of materials, perfect for daily playing and practising with optimal price / quality ratio yet guaranteeing an unexpected level of sound quality & projection.  

With its elegant design and detailed craftsmanship, the Scetis is the most advanced guitar of the solid-top Antique series. The selection of its top plate material and shape is up to you, whether you like the robust sound of Cedar or the defined tone of Dolomite spruce.

This model features a Dreadnaught body shape, spruce top and fishman electronics.
