There's nothing quite like playing a vintage Telecaster. However, there have been design improvements that have taken modern Teles to the next level. The Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Telecaster NOS is an ideal mix of both. Vintage fans will love the guitar's period accurate appointments, such as an off-set body joint, slab rosewood fingerboard, and vintage correct electronics. And modern players will revel in updates such as a 7.25' to 9.5" compound radius fingerboard and Jescar fretwire.

If you look closely, you'll find a number of player-friendly updates to this otherwise true-to-the-original guitar. For instance, the guitar's slab rosewood fingerboard is shaped to an extremely comfortable 7.25"–9.5" compound radius that offers the best of vintage comfort and modern playability. And the guitar's frets are made from Jescar, a material that is much harder than standard nickel frets and will last much longer while being softer than stainless steel, avoiding the perceived change of tone that can accompany steel.

One of the most important features to mark the authenticity of a vintage-styled Tele is the pickups. With the Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Telecaster NOS you get a set of pickups hand-wound to the same spec as the 1958 classics.
