The SG special is (as the name suggests) a special variation on the classic SG formula featuring P90's rather than the usual pair of humbuckers and a sparkling burgundy finish as opposed to the classic cherry red. The SG special still however sticks to the tried and true SG tonewoods with a mahogany body and set mahogany neck with 22fret rosewood fingerboard.
