Based on the original classic Hofner Verythin guitar body shape from 1960 with the body depth of only 1.25 inches. The Hofner Verythin was extremely popular with groups during the 1960s beat boom era.
This stunning guitar not only captures that unique 60s sound but also has the ability to produce tones ranging from deep gutsy blues through to cutting distorted rock. Fitted with a centre spruce block in the body to produce more sustain, deeper tones and less feedback you'll find this Hofner Verythin is a guitar that delivers full on style, tone and playability.
Hofner have announced the launch of two new unique additions to their ‘UK Exclusive’ Verythin guitar range. Available exclusively to retailers and customers in the UK and Ireland: the new ‘Pearl Gold’ and ‘Pearl Blue’ Verythin models.
If you think ‘exclusive’ means ‘expensive’, you couldn’t be more wrong. This guitar is barely half the price of the standard HCT Verythin. We’re not sure why: the HCT is made from figured maple instead of mahogany, features striking full-width fret markers, and comes with a pickguard, but otherwise there are few obvious differences.
Electronics come in the form of two Hofner design humbucker pickups, producing tones ranging from deep gutsy blues through to cutting distorted rock. Both models are fitted with a centre spruce block in the body to produce more sustain, deeper tones and less feedback, whilst also helping to capture that unique 60’s sound.
