This auditorium-bodied T118ASCE model from LAG is a perfect option for those who are used to playing electric guitar, allowing an easy transition thanks to its slim-for-acoustic body profile. It would also suit smaller players who, nevertheless, want a standard scale length. The soundboard on this guitar is Red Cedar. Visually darker than Spruce, Cedar is preferred by players who enjoy a warm, mellow tone. It is also a good choice on this slim-bodied guitar, accentuating the middle and lower registers which might otherwise be lost through the reduced body volume. Being solid wood, the soundboard will improve with age and playing, making this worthy of consideration as a longer term instrument.
