Description

NOTE: The Natural and 3 Tone Sunburst are reduced as they are the older model (ARIA 615 TL). The specs are identical, the only difference is the model name on the headstock.

With its eye-catching Thinline Tele-style body, this Aria Pro II TEG looks every bit as good as it sounds!

The Okoume body features an "F" hole and comes in a variety of finishes alongside a white pearloid scratchplate (or a tortoise shell scratchplate for the white model). All hardware is chrome plated, and overall, these guitars look like instruments that cost twice the price.

Thanks to the pair of vintage-style Aria-designed single coil pickups these guitars also sound as good as they look. A 3-way selector switch is provided, along with master volume and tone controls.

Our Thoughts

These Aria Thinline Teles Rock! Not only do they look the part but they play and sound good too! Very often starter guitars have awful playability and sound horrible when plugged in, if you're lucky there's not loads of buzz and it stays somewhat in tune. These are not those guitars, much like the standard TEG the Thinline/615 plays very nice, this time featuring a single-piece gloss-finished maple neck with a skunk stripe. The Thinline/615 features upgraded pickups compared to the standard line, the stock TEG pickups are good already but these shine even more with plenty of presence and punch, they're well-balanced pickups that make you want to keep playing and the 3 switching positions give you a good spread of tones.

Most people who start playing guitar will give up within a year, starter guitars exist to fill that first-year market so that people can save money to find out if the guitar is the right instrument for them. Unfortunately, many starter guitars are so poorly made that they make learning guitar twice as hard as it needs to be which in turn causes more people to give up. Aria understands this which is why they work hard to produce affordable but also still musical and fun guitars, something that they've achieved very well with this model.
