Description
The NU-X Hook is a combined drum machine and phrase looper in a miniature pedal format, designed as a complete practice and accompaniment tool for solo guitarists. Despite its compact size, it packs in smart tempo detection, 11 rhythm styles, a 24-bit phrase looper with unlimited overdubs, and USB-C loop file management.
Drum Machine: 11 rhythm styles covering a wide range of genres, with an independent Drum Level control. The play/pause button doubles as a Smart Tap Tempo trigger, with the built-in LED indicating the current tempo. The Hook can also detect the rhythm of a played guitar phrase and automatically set the drum tempo to match.
Phrase Looper: Up to 6 minutes of 24-bit recording with unlimited overdubs. Tap the footswitch to record, tap again to play back, tap again to overdub. Hold the footswitch to undo overdubs in sequence, or erase the loop when playback is stopped. Two recording modes: NR (normal recording) or AR (auto-record — begins recording only when a guitar note is detected).
I/O: Guitar input, mixed output, 3.5mm headphone output for silent practice, and USB-C for firmware updates and WAV file export/import to Mac or PC.
