NU-X Queen of Tone Dual Overdrive Pedal – Horseman & Morning Star

The NU-X Queen of Tone is a dual-footswitch overdrive pedal combining two legendary-inspired circuits in a single unit, with switchable routing and advanced bypass options.

Horseman (left) – Centaur-Inspired
Based on the legendary Klon Centaur circuit, with Output, Treble, and Gain controls. Hold the footswitch to toggle between two modes: Gold (transparent overdrive mirroring the classic Gold Centaur character) and Silver (a powered-up version with extended gain range, equivalent to the Silver Centaur). The Silver mode delivers the high headroom typically associated with 18V operation from a standard 9V supply.

Morning Star (right) – Bluesbreaker-Inspired
Based on the legendary Bluesbreaker circuit — a transparent, low-gain drive with a natural, open character. Hold the footswitch to engage Shine mode, which adds a crystal-clear treble boost for added cut and presence.

Routing & Switching
A toggle switch on the front selects the signal order between the two overdrives: Morning Star into Horseman (MS→HM) or Horseman into Morning Star (HM→MS). Rear-panel switches handle bypass mode (Buffered or True Bypass) and IFS (Input FET Stage), which boosts the input signal to push a tube amplifier harder into natural breakup.
