These Aria Strats are Great! Not only do they look the part but they play and sound good too! Very often starter guitars have awful playability and sound horrible when plugged in, if you're lucky there's not loads of buzz and it stays somewhat in tune. These are not those guitars, the neck is unfinished maple which feels smooth to the touch, not like the sticky gloss a lot of manufacturers use on low-end models. The factory setup is pleasant to play and what's more the stock pickups sound the part with nice clarity and punch.

Most people who start off playing guitar will give up within a year, starter guitars exist to fill that first-year market so that people don't have to spend masses of money to find out if the guitar is the right instrument for them. Unfortunately, a lot of starter guitars are so poorly made that they make learning guitar twice as hard as it needs to be which in turn causes more people to give up. Aria understands this which is why they work hard to produce affordable but also still musical and fun guitars, something that they've achieved very well with this model.
