The JKM Empire 485 is a masterbuilt acoustic guitar handmade in Ireland, showcasing the expert craftsmanship and tonal innovation that defines JKM Guitars. This model, serial #43, features a Western Red Cedar top paired with stunning figured Pomelle Sapele back and sides, all brought together with JKM’s unique Helix bracing for exceptional projection and balance.

Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen and precisely executed: a 9-piece laminated mahogany neck for strength and stability, a Macassar ebony fingerboard and matching pinless bridge, and a set of Gotoh 510 tuners for smooth, reliable tuning. Additional upgrades include purfling on the back, a centre back inlay, ebony heel cap, strap buttons, and Macassar ebony veneers on both the front and back of the headstock. The result is a refined, modern instrument with a traditional soul — finished in a smooth satin lacquer and protected in a JKM-branded Hiscox Pro II hard case.
