Vemuram Butter Machine Distortion Pedal Michael Landau Signature

The Vemuram Butter Machine is a signature distortion pedal developed in collaboration with Michael Landau over more than two years of prototyping and real-world testing — at recording sessions and on tour in 2022 and 2023. The starting point was the Ibanez SD9, a pedal Landau used as his main high-gain drive for many years, with the goal of retaining its positive sonic qualities while eliminating the compression and high-end harshness he found limiting. The result is a wide-range distortion pedal that covers overdrive through to full distortion, with a natural, open feel and strong dynamic response to picking nuance and guitar volume.

Two internal trim pots allow fine-tuning beyond the main controls: Sparkle is a peaking boost centred around 6kHz for dialling in high-end crunch, and Low-Mid adds bottom-end weight. Main controls are Volume, Gain, and Tone.
