Description
The Revv G4 is an analogue distortion pedal based on the Red channel of Revv's amplifiers — delivering thick, saturated, amp-stack distortion suited to modern metal and high-gain styles. It is a distinct pedal from the G3: where the G3 is tight and surgical, the G4 is full, heavy, and aggressive. In Revv's own words: "If the G3 is a scalpel, the G4 is a sledgehammer."
A 3-way voicing switch adjusts the gain character and frequency emphasis. A 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) provides further tone shaping. The G4 works in front of an amplifier, in an effects loop, with a modeller, or direct into a cab simulator.
Off (centre) – Core Red channel character: full, saturated, amp-like distortion.
Blue – Tighter, more focused response with certain frequencies tamed for a more controlled sound.
Red – Maximum thickness and saturation for the most aggressive response.
